The next Da Vinci Community Roundtable, to be held Oct. 26, will offer timely updates on changes recently made in the Da Vinci Implementation Guides and offer an outlook for next year.
The event, “Current State: HL7 Da Vinci Implementation Guide Progress in 2022,” will be held online from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET.
The Da Vinci Project is a private-sector initiative that accelerates the adoption of HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (HL7® FHIR®) as the standard to support and integrate value-based care (VBC) data exchange across communities. The goal of the project is to help payers and providers positively impact clinical, quality, cost and care management outcomes, enabling providers to see the right data at the right time for patient-centered care.
At the October Community Roundtable, the Da Vinci project manager and use case leads will highlight implementation guide functional additions and provide an update on the status of the guides to help inform those who are planning for next year’s FHIR implementation staffing and allocations.
The presenters will include:
- Vanessa Candelora, HL7 Da Vinci Project manager and senior consultant, Point-of-Care Partners
- Dave DeGandi, burden reduction co-lead, attribution co-lead and senior interoperability strategist, Cambia Health Solutions

About the Community Roundtable
The goal of the Da Vinci Project’s community roundtables is to increase public awareness among payers, providers and vendors of the resources and progress coming out of Da Vinci’s efforts. These 90-minute virtual sessions are open to Da Vinci members as well as the public and highlight how members leverage the Da Vinci use cases and implementation guides in action in workflow.
Typically, two or three organizations showcase their work and answer audience questions, allowing for a vibrant discussion and fostering industry understanding of the Da Vinci work products and resulting market solutions. Sessions are recorded and available online after the event.
